Sustainable Development
For the seven upcoming generations
Welcome
For thousands of years, First Nations have always practiced and still practice what is known today as “sustainable development”. The maintenance of the practice of lifestyles and of diversity of cultures and languages are living proof of First Nations' resilience and strength as well as of the close bond they have always maintained with Mother Earth.
This privileged bond with Mother Earth transcends the will to ensure a healthy management of resources and always brings us to think about the seven upcoming generations when comes the time to create development projects.
First Nations' main mission is to ensure the preservation of the quality of Mother Earth and the sustainability of its resources in order to meet the needs of future generations. It is possible to achieve this goal by using First Nations' traditional knowledge on ecosystem management and quality of the environment.
