This training includes an overview of business models in general. It also presents practical advice for choosing, organizing and negotiating these structures in the context of setting up renewable energy projects, particularly in the interactions between the developer and the indigenous group(s) involved. We also cover impact and benefits agreements (IBAs). Finally, we set out some basic rules on taxation and the financing of these structures, to help you make the right decisions when developing partnerships.
This training could also be adapted as needed for spheres of activity other than renewable energy.
