MESGI’G UGJU’S’N: The Grand Vent wind farm project

Mesgi’g Ugju’g’n is the first in a series of four comic books about renewable energy in First Nations communities. In the book, Sabryna travels with her friend Jennifer to Listuguj, in Mi’gmaq territory. They are welcomed by community members who teach them about the MESGI’G UGJU’S’N, or “big wind,” wind farm project. This is the story of her journey into Mi’gmaq country to meet the nation using the air element of the medicine wheel to power wind turbines on their traditional territory, Gespe’gewa’gi.
