Equip ourselves to respond to consultation requests arising from authorization for impact work
As of May 6, 2024, the holder of a mining claim must obtain authorization from the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF) before undertaking impact-causing mining exploration work. Under the new authorization framework, First Nations must :

As a result, you may be facing an increase in consultation requests from mining claim holders. To support you in these processes, we have produced two documents. The The first document contains information sheets specific to each job and their impact on the territory and the environment. The purpose of the second is to present you with the details of the MRNF’s new authorization and to provide you with possible solutions to meet demand. This document is available on request only.
