You, your community, or your First Nations organization have a project related to the protection, management, and enhancement of water and aquatic environments? We are proud to launch the First Nations Water Initiatives Fund , which aims to support these First Nations* projects.
*Except for the Cree and the Naskapi, who have separate agreements with the provincial government.
Two funding options are available for this Fund: a stream for local initiatives, with a set amount reserved to each eligible community, and a stream for structural initiatives, with a standard call for proposals process.
The deadline for submitting your project under either of the two stream is September 18, 2026.
