Intensive 4-Day Training for EcoNation Youth in Listuguj
Territory protection and waste management during the 2024-25 EcoNation program cohort training!
From June 9th to 13th, young people from 5 different communities came together in Listuguj to attend the EcoNation training.
Over 4 days, the youth developed their knowledge around environmental protection and waste management.
Among other things, they had the chance to visit composting facilities, learn how to fillet salmon, and practice creating awareness radio segments. They were able to enjoy two days of camping on the territory, ideal for building connections with each other and discussing issues that matter to them in their communities!
The new cohort members will now begin their role as awareness agents, and will therefore have to plan their summer, organize activities in their communities, and create awareness materials such as posters or social media posts.
